how much of a redline can you increase with the gearing like that?

i think it would be nice to know how many teeth are in the rear and front differential.

lol dude, nice.

I'm sure with the gear ratio like that, it may take a while before you're up there in the 200mph range....

unless....

How much would adding the lower final drive ratio add to the cost of a tranny rebuild? Thx.

The cost of the gearing and billet center differential cap is $850 installed.

The gears feature a beefy tooth profile and are surface ground to reduce noise and increase torque capacity.

The CNC machined center differential cap features a Torrington bearing so there won't be any problems with galling up of the side gear or cap.

We also have a severe duty version for those who plan on taking the car into the 9's that features a much larger bearing for added durability.

The gearing is recommended for those who drag race but it will work for those on the street if you are making above 400WHP. The gearing really shines for those who have the power to get through 3rd by the 660' mark. This will allow you to stay in 4th gear for the rest of the run and really pack on the MPH.

The rear diff and front diff rations are not 1:1... I'm going to have to look it up for you, but the front and rear diffs have the same ratios, the tranny is where the final drive is at.

We looked into doing different ratios for 4th & 5th but this would widen up the gap between 3rd & 4th and this would surely **** off the 4th gear single synchro.

As for the RA 4.89 gears, this will shorten up all the gears quite a bit forcing you to shift it like crazy and use 5th gear. This would be better suited for rally use but not the 1320'.

If you have ever seen my 1/4 mile slips you would see that I am no drag racer . What I meant was in regards to narrowing, raising the ratio, of 4th and 5th gear for a lower top gear speed. The gap between 4th and 5th is aweful. Even between 3rd and 4th could be a little closer. I know this goes against the grain for drag racing, but not all of us live our lives one quarter mile at a time .

In the mean time, I have been considering getting the 4.89. I figure w/ my GT3076 my acceleration should be pretty good .

If I were you, I'd go with an RS gear ratio 3 ~ 5 and a custom F.Gear Ratio

Left = RS
Right = GSR

Gear Ratios
1 a 2.785 2.785
2 a 1.950 1.950
3 a 1.444 1.407
4 a 1.096 1.031
5 a 0.825 0.720
Rev 3.416 3.416
Final Gear 4.529 <---- replace this with 4.xx (lower than .529) or 3.xx

Ring gear has 43 teeth, pinion has 13...

This results in a 3.307 ratio.
