How pissed would you be?

I bought my car a little over a year ago with 13k on it. The car seemed to be in great shape. The car now has 27k on it. I was looking through the glove box and found a label saying the car had something called a pit pass maintance plan. So I called a dealer to find out what it is. They never heard of it but said they could check the VIN and see if there was any info in there about. I asked while they were looking if the car ever had any warrenty done. I come to find out that the Transfer Case has been replaced, all the syncros, some sort of shims, and the clutch had been adjusted. I didn't think you could adjust the clutch? They also said the car had been in two times for the 5th gear grind which I still have when going into fifth tached up high. Which I can deal with and has not got any worse. Other than that I don't have any problems with the car. So my question is should I be worried that stuff has been replaced or should I view has a good thing that it has been done? I show no signs of any problems with the engine at all.

On the pit pass thing I am not worried about that has I prefer to do my oil changes. Oh well I guess it isn't that big of deal. Atleast all of the stuff was replaced with 2k miles of me getting the car. I just hope it doesn't affect the live of the car long term.

What is there to be pissed about? Is there a problem now? Did you get a warranty with it?

Yes the car still has the whole warrenty. Other than the 5th grind no there is no problem. The reason I was pissed is because it seemed that car had been taken good care of before I got it. Now I find out all of this. I know it is my fault for buying used instead of new. It still kinda sucks has I am planning on keeping the car long term and want to get the max life out of the car.

That's funny the dealership didn't know what a pit pass was They suck! I wouldn't be mad because now you don't have to worry about all those issues because they've already been fixed.

Id feel better that those things were replaced. Ive heard so many stories with the 2003 EVOS (bad TCs, synchros, etc). Its where all the little turds on sights like SRTforums try to bash the EVO for being unreliable ... "hows your tranny holding up" comments, etc... I wouldnt worry about it... the fact you have a new TC and better synchros in the trans is nothing to be pissed about... as long as the car is holding up well and gives you no problems, just enjoy it!

Did you get a Carfax report on your car? Anytime you buy a car like the Evo that has potential to be abused it's not a bad idea to run the VIN or have the dealer look up its history before you buy.
