Is this what I need?
  1. ECU - Mitsubishi Lancer 2003 EVO VIII - Part# 30-1313
  2. Sensor Kit - Inlet Air Temp Sensor - Part# 35-2205
  3. Sensor Kit - 3.5-BAR Boost or Exhaust Backpressure Sensor Kit (Brass Sensor Body w/ 1/8th NTPF Male Thread) - Part# 30-2130-50
Or have I forgot something? Is #3 the MAP sensor? What's the differense between that and the 5 Bar version?

The sensor is rated in terms of absolute pressure. After subtracting 1 bar of pressure for the atmospheric pressure at sea level asically speaking you have 2.5 bar of "boost sensing" range (36psi). With the 5 bar you have 4 bar of boost sensing range (58psi).

You also might want to consider buying a MAP adapter from either Buschur or Switzer. It allows you to pull off the OEW sensor and mount the AEm sensor in it's place without having to drill and tap the manifold. Alternatively you could mount the sensor on the firewall and plumb it using a hose.

Buschur's part number: AEM-BR-0002

a 3 bar map sensor can read to 3 bar or about 14.7*3 = 44.1psi absolute, that will be about 30 psi gauge (or boost if you will). a 5 bar map sensor should read up to 73.5psi absolute and 59psi gauge. that should be right.... remember if you go with a 5 bar map sensor i bet your resolution and accuracy will suffer if your not running really really high boost. most NA cars use a 1 bar map sensor and they can only read atmospheric pressure at 14.7psi max (or 0 psi boost)
