Transmission problems...help!
I'm kinda in the same boat your in. The dealership has warrantied alot of my drivetrain and it keeps breaking. Frankly, i think they have no idea what they are doing with my car. I'm planning on sucking it up and geting a rebuilt by a aftermarket shop. www.teamrip.com

That was my first reaction to the problem...was to get the transmission rebuilt...but this should not be happening with a new car...My friend has a turbo Si running 400whp and still with the stock transmission...I know they are two different cars but the tranny in his has 100,000miles on it!! I kinda want them to buy back the car...although I am not even sure if I can buy another evo after all these experiences...

Good luck, its not going to be easy to find a car to replace the evo. I say get it rebuilt by tre or shep, and its most likely going to last a while, because they know what there doing unlike the dealer( same thing will probably happen again if the dealer does it), sucks you got to spend money out your pocket on a warrantied car.
You need to stop taking their crap and make them take it back as a lemon.
They cant fix the car, its been in 3 DIFFERENT TIMES for the SAME problem, and that falls under the lemon law.
Why would you put up with a comment like 'after this were not doing any more waranty work' ?? That's completely out of line, false, and they have no choice but to honor the warranty.

If its under warrenty, they should pay for it... i have a 2004 yukon... It kept bucking... under 40 it would just buck non stop, i brought it in, they fixed it. The next week it happened again. So i brought it back mad. THey looked at it, they didn't think i had any idea how cars work..They told me my carb. needed to be rebuilt... At that time, i laugh right in the guys face. I went to the owner and demanded a new car. I told him the story and i got it replaced. YOU PAY THEM. don't let them take your money and then have them tell you what to do...

Actually my stepdad has expressed great interest in this ordeal and is willing to go down to the dealership with me and let them know how we feel about the situation... Something in my favor is the fact that my stepdad is a very good customer w/the dealership and has purchased 6 cars in the past 4-5years with them...so if they dont help out then they will lose his business... My biggest fear is having to go to court with them...I just want as little conflict about this as possible.
Do you guys think that I should keep the evo after they fix it??? b/c this has happened three times and I am very leary of keeping the car...b/c it is my daily driver, and I hate having it in the shop sooo much...this past year alone it has been in the shop for 2 months...I have had every enterprise rent-a-crap you can get and im sick of it...

Don't take that crap. Have the Area Manager meet you at your dealership. They have all the power to get things fixed. I had an issue with the car not be aligned from the factory. It wore my tires down in 7000 miles. Dealership said there was nothing they could do. I contacted the Area Manager and he met me at the dealrship. I looked at the car and said, they would replace the tires and pay for an alignment.
Try and get
to fix the car, sorry about your troubles but also understand that the EVO has to be smoothly shifted into every gear (this is true for any manual transmission car with synchros). You can't quickshift and/or powershift into gears, it will cause your synchros to wear quickly ... if you have been doing powershifts then you should pay for it out of your own pocket (abuse isn't covered) and probably upgrade the tranny by either:
TeamRip or Shepracing .....
Either way goodluck ...
