Twin Turbo G35 giving the EVO props
Supra guys have been doin it for years. Im sure it is great on our brakes doing this also just so people know
And please make sure your clutch doesnt start slipping... I saw a supra do this with an old clutch and once he was getting decent boost it starting dropping back off and he didnt need to hold his brake as hard farther and farther until he let the brake go and his car just coasted while revving at 6k.
This is a great trick but honestly isn't needed on the stock turbo or even a little bigger. On my turbo it would help a decent amount but I have never seen a car I would even need to do this with. If your car is faster you will win, if it is slower you wont... doing this only ensures you get a small head start. If thier car is faster they will just catch right back up anyways.

I have had a few V8 guys tell me that by the time my turbo spools that they will be long gone. Little did they know I was at 20psi while slow rollin down the road. INSTANT POWA!!! Brake boosting rules!
Yea I used to brake boost in my MKIV Supra. The only problem is the car would rip the tires so hard the car would blow sideways.
Well that was at like 40mph roll. Higher speeds it wouldn't. heh...

i hate the three honks...i always forget why the other guy is honking. until they take off and i never get a chance to break boost. Good technique though...alot better than my slip clutch technique<-----idiot i know i know. I'm still learning.
