Downpipe Rattle Dangerous?

Ok guys. I did the search and I read. I know alot of people have downpipe rattle. My question is however is the rattle dangerous. I was driving tonight and I had my first experience of the rattle. Everytime I started accelerating from a deadstop I heard it loud and clear. it was so loud that I thought maybe my whole exhaust fell off. So Im worried I might cause more damage if I drive it before I fix it. So does anybody know if the rattling will cause permanent damage or is it just an annoyance thing? Thanks.

Get some Kartboy exhaust hangers, it comes with 5 piece hangers, rattle/noise problem solved.

it depends on what is causing the rattle. if it's just the lower tie bars then it's not a big problem. if it's hitting the subframe then that's a problem and you should get it fixed by getting new hangers or some rewelding.
