Shiv,

What did the car have on it, the BR Stg 4 with alky, for engine management before you changed it over?

why don't you buy the car first then come here and discuss about the power package?

sorta get to know your girl before going to the sak? Then you could upgrade her all you want with your fabulous wealth.

it's only the gentleman thing to do.

lol

plokivos :

the reason is very simple. When I bought my STI I wanted to upgrade power very fast and did many mistakes and also wasted lot of money for bad parts. So I decided to find out as many informations and offers as possible before my car will come to me. I am sure that imediatelly after I will get my car I will buy some package and if I dont do enough search before I can buy some stupidity again. thats why....

as i read your replies it seems to me that many of you have tuned the car in some facility coming there with car. My problem is that I come from Europe so I need to get pre tuned ecu. I am not able to come and get tuned...

What do you want to do with your power? Would you like to be able to adjust the tune on the car yourself?

Do you want your exhaust to perform and still look and sound good?

Buschur's stuff is cheaper, thats for sure....but don't forget you are modding a 30k+ car, so i wouldn't suggest finding the cheapest parts you can. Either way you choose, im sure you will be happy....i chose to go with the vishnu engine management(its the best for me and my needs) but i also have some buschur parts on my car as well. Both camps know their ****, so lets not get into a pissing match in this thread please.

Dave, you came in this thread intending to throw crap "please check it out before you waste your money on false claims" was that really necessary? How do you know what power the v390 makes? i can personally say that mine made 338whp on pump fuel(in the hot a$$ southeast).

I just want to get "plug and play" package with most power possible. I dont need to be able to tune it myself. I tryed it on my STI with utec but I am not the right one to make custom maps.

well, another reason i liked the xede is that you have some sort of equity in it. as in, if you sell the car or want to change up, you don't lose all of your money. you can't resell a flashed ECU

I dont think he said anything about the v390, just that there are some places out there using false claims.

Powered by Buschur and proud of it. I don't think Dave was starting a pissing match with Vishnu...just saying some of the "questionable" companies throw out all sorts of false numbers. Both camps know their $hit.

It was burschurflashed with an S-AFC and your MBC, custom road tuned by you in Ohio not too long ago.

We ended up zeroing out the S-AFC, reflashing the computer with an XEDEFlash, installing an XEDE and dropping the boost slightly. With some tuning, we picked up close to 25 more wheel hp on the 91/meth map and another 8-10whp on the 100oct/meth map. It ended up making some very good power (IIRC, around 360whp) with a cat.

well since its in a different state, elevation, and weather wouldnt that factor in on the gain or loss in hp? Also since it was tuned in ohio and not cali (but i dont know where you tuned it). I am just asking not questioning you but couldnt that be a part of it?

Good point. However there is a huge difference in Gas as well which would seem to be the bigger factor. 93(or even 94) in ohio vs the cali 91.

Buying parts from the US may not be a bad idea, but a pre-tuned ecu? Wouldn't it be easier to find someone in europe to tune it?
