Ngk BPR7EIX question
They come pregapped...but they what? Ive heard that you can ruin them by gapping them, but how are you supposed to gap them then? Are they the same gap as non-iridium plugs, Should I go with these iridium plugs, or just the regular 7es. thanks
If you are running alot of hp in the upper rpm range you will need to regap them to about .025-.026 on the stock ignition. You can regap them without issue but on the stock turbo you probably won't have a problem with the gap the come with.

My manual says plugs should be between .024-.027, so I didnt have to touch them!

Thanks, and yep only use the gapper that looks like a swiss army knife, my friend used a round one, and when we checked them with the swiss army looking gapper they were all off by alot.

I'm assuming it's different then a feeler gauge
Take your plug and a feeler guage (what ever you are wanting to set the plug to) put the plug in a vise in like you are going to crush it long ways make sure to put something on each side of the vice so its not metal to metal with the plug like wood or plastic its got to be flat though tighten te vice just enough to hod th plug in place now once its in put the feeler in between the electrode and ground electrode and tighten the vice till you feel a light drag on the feeler guage when you move it back and fourth this is mu
ch easier than using a gapping tool or pliers
