transfercase

I have been driving my car with the transfercase messed up for quite some time. It howls and growls can someone tell me what will go out if I keep driving it like this? Im saving up to get it fixed from tre and a new frond diff. Someone told me that if I keep driving it like this the car will stop moving after a while, but what I want to know is what exactly will go out if I keep driving it.

LOL! Holy crap man! Stop driving it if it is an audible growl, the gears are prolly meshing wrong and that sound is them grinding against each other.

ok, if they just started growling, then they might be repairable, but if you let it go and go and go, you're talking about irreprable damage. Who knows how long it'll last....

I don't know what to tell you man. As far as I know the front diff will eventually lock up. I had the same problem but I traded it in before it got too bad...

You're asking for trouble, and that trouble could be in the form of a whole new transfer case, yes...

Isn't that an answer?

What do you want someone to do, diagnose it over the internet? They told you that you are inviting major trouble, what kinda answer you looking for?

On second thought, it will be fine, keep driving it.

I dont know the outcome of keep driving. I kept driving on mine and it was fine. just dont be STUPID! My front diff went out COMPLETELY! But if you just chill wit it you should be fine. I went 1000miles with mine messed up and TRE fixed it. 1500 with shipping.
