Will the RS valve be available with the 1G flange setup for those of us with B uschur UPIC pipes? Or just the standard fitment?

As of right now, no.

I will look into it though.

It shouldn't be too difficult to make them and have David sell them as an option to his kits.

It would likely also require us to make a different size outlet port for recirc. applications, but that should be pretty easy to do as well.

I'll look into it on Monday!

Within 30 minutes of having e-mailed the UK to ask about the feesibility of making this flange for this application, they made one for you.

It's to be shipped out to me today and I should have it in hand by Wednesday.

PM me to discuss it further if you're interested!

You could also just do the Gus mod on an uncrushed 1G BOV. Then hook up the extra port that you created to a solenoid that is activated by a WOT switch. Then whenever you go WOT valve won't open for anything. But as soon as you let off, the valve will open perfectly with no drivability issues.

I use one on my car. It holds up to 30psi reliably. It could probably hold more, but the 16G won't generate any more.

Wow. Looks great!

Time for a new BOV!

How much are these going for?

I have one of the original recirc. valves for sale if anyone is interested. It has about 4K miles on it and I have all the springs and shims.

As a recirculating valve, it has cured any and all part-throttle issues previously seen on the standard Evo valve recirc. valve, while also being able to be used as a vent-to-atmosphere valve if desired.
Do you guys stand behind your products? In other words, if I bought this and had drivability issues, could I send it back for a full refund, no questions asked?

I recently took out my MR valve because of bucking and stumbling. Unfortunately, my stock one is leaking and I can feel a power loss between the 2, but I'd rather have stock drivability right now. I can't stand having to slowly release the gas pedal after hitting a medium boost level as to not cause a violent fluttering. I've owned 5 turbo-charged cars (4 with a 4G63), and had 7 different recirculating valves between the 5 cars. I can say that I've never come across a valve (other than stock for the given cars) that doesn't give up some drivability in order to hold more boost. Of couse, I haven't tried all of them, either.

I agree with Shape. I use a modded 1g bov similiar to the one he mentioned. Although I got mine from www.dejontools.com. Here's a link to the page http://www.dejontool.com/dsm-misc.htm . It doesn't use a wot switch but rather a 3-way pilot pressure operated valve. Under 15psi it operates like a normal 1g bov which is great for drivability. At 15psi and up, the diaphragm seals shut. Read the link Shape posted and the dejontool link to better understand how it all works. The most I pressure tested mine to was 24psi on my GSX. I used a digital pressure meter off the bov outlet to check for a leak and there was barely a trace. Probably would have been better to test with a flowmeter of some sort, idk. Overall I love it and kept it for the Evo when I sold the GSX.

How do you have it mounted? Is it on the stock UICP? I have a modded Dejon 1G, but don't have a flange to mount it like the stock valve is mounted.

Yeah its on the stock uicp. I bought the flange from Dejontools also. http://www.dejontool.com/DSM-2g%20SIC.htm Its at the bottom of the page. The adapter flange is for a 2G DSM but will work with the Evo just fine. No welding or any other parts are required for it to work.

We most certainly DO stand behind our products 100% with a Limited No-Hassle Guarantee covering almost any conveivable problem.

If the valve is providing some sort of driveability concern or has failed in some way, we will either repair or replace it with any identical part or we will work with you to find a more appropriate component.

We cannot accept the valve back, however, if you don't like the way it looks or sounds, both of which are subjective things that will vary between each individual user's tastes.

It already is available in three basic variations:

FMDVRSR - Includes components for Recirc. applications only. MSRP $230

FMDVRSA - Includes components for Atmospheric applcations only. MSRP $230

FMDVRSK - Includes all necessary components for Recirc. AND Atmospheric applications. MSRP $275

(Please specify required inlet/outlet port sizes when ordering.)

Any variation is available in Polished or Black, and vehicle specific and universal flange-mount and weld-on adapters are available by special request only.
