what do i need when installing cam gears?

....as far as timing


do i need a timing tool from Mitsu?

You mark the timing belt at the location of the timming mark with a little spray paint on a q-tip so you know where to alight the new cam gears. But becareful, if you mess it up you can kill your engine.

PLUS u wanna do one cam at a time so u dont jump the teeth on the crankshaft.

well i wont be doing it myself im having a friend do it whos a VW mechanic and has being doing cam installs for years. Is it safe to say he will know what to do?

you need the write up from evomotorsports. It has everything* in it.

*Remember to bleed your lifters!!!!

You also may need a tensioner tool to loosen the timing belt to remove the gears.

i have the write up but its just a cam install and not a cam gear install. Oh believe me i will bleed the living daylights out of those lifters.

can you install gears with out taking every thing out or do you have to take out the cams to install the gears
