Can anyone answer this question?
Can anyone answer this question?
This recently came up when me a couple of friends were drinking and talking about cars.
how does a 6 puck ... grip better then a single disk clutch??
a single has more surface area... Would that make it grip better? the more surface to hold on too?
and then also a twin/triple disk? wouldn't that be more spinning objects and make it slower at engaging??
Can anyone answer these questions??

The pressure plate puts out a set amount of pressure. The 6 puck has less disk area then a full disk, so the force per in^2 is much greater. Which means it grabs harder, wears faster, and is more on/off when driving.
