Installed GSC cams and ARP studs...got a couple questions

I bled my lifters. However, all I did was stick a paper clip inside but no oil gushes out. Did it a few times. Started the car, no ticking...i think. So did i do this right?

The head studs, should I re-torque them? I already torqued them at 85 ft-lbs.

And I was so stupid to think the valve cover was torqued to 31 ft-lbs instead of 31 in-lbs. I ended up breaking a bolt and replaced it with a new one. Ended up NOT using a torque wrench and just hand tighten them plus a lil extra with a wrench.

Idles like a piece of crap. Idle fluctuates on average 60 rpms from 800 to 860. Sound mean tho. Gonna get a tune tuesday

I also shouldnt drive it hard right now right? Should I take it easy for the first 500 miles and let the cams set or I can drive the hell out of it now.

THANKS!!

hummm...that's weird. Your idle shouldn't fluxuate like that. It might sound lobey but that's about it. Probably just need a tune. Once tuned then drive the s*** out of it!

I should lope but you shouldn't be able to see the tach jumping up and down, it should hold pretty steady which it sounds like it is. After the first or second heat cycle it is always good to recheck the tq on the headstuds.

The only way I can see it fluctuate is by my turbo timer's LCD tachometer. Other than that, I cant really see it fluctuat on the stock tach. My timing is perfect. I checked ten million times. It drives very smooth and fine. I am probably worrying too much right?

What does lope mean? DOes it mean that the car is getting more air and then the exhaust is not at exactly vacuum sometimes causing a "doom doom doom doom doom" sound at the exhaust. The engine purrs like a cat tho.

With bigger cams you should raise your idle speed to around 1000 rpms . This smooths them out and gives a better vacuum. Im sure you're ok and probably worrying too much

Then I realized something. I forgot to connect the O2 sensor back!! LOLz. Problem solved. Car runs nice but lobes a lot. Doesnt feel comfy but when I turn on the A/C, it idles better Cant wait for a tune!
