Why don't you try to find out what all the 9 and 10 second evos use and make a decision based on the results you are looking for...

Do a search, here or on any DSM boards. The SC61 and GT35R are pretty common turbo setups. If you want my data log sheets, you have to download the software from www.electromotive-inc.com. They are logs from my standalone and you need the standalone software to view them. If you really want them, let me know. Also an FYI, full boost on my setup is 18psi and my turbo is standard, non ball bearing. Ball bearing turbos typically spool 300-500 RPMs sooner.

18 psi, that explains it. I was like uhhh because I know from many testimonies that full boost on a gt35r isnt untill about 4200 on stock displacement for 20 + psi set ups. I knew there was something fishy there. Good thing im not going crazy.

It doesnt spool at 3 anything. I have one in my car and will show you logs from either a Zeitronix log or a text log. I would bet a decent amount that a stock displacement evo without the aid of any wierd stuff (Maybe nitrous I dunno) could spool at 3.5k Mine is ball bearing GT35R .63 AR running at 18psi right now. It spools to full boost around 4.5kish depending on the gear. I havent done much to timing to try to get it to spool sooner but I would never believe anyone that would claim that. Call any shop and ask them.

By the way... his car in is little thing says Galant. Maybe a V6 or something might spool it then but not our cars

Also, I am pretty sure our stockers spool around the 3.5k mark to full boost. And just to fix anyones strange assumptions.. the difference of 18psi to 22 or even 25 psi is so minute compared to the bigger picture especially on Ball bearing turbos. I mean maybe it is 100 rpms but I doubt even that.

yeah, its 0-14psi that takes so damn long...once you are in boost like that, another 10psi takes fractions of a second.

and FWIW, a .82 is too damn big for the stock block to spool....it will lag much more noticeably between shifts that the .63.

Just do the .63 ....will have much better shift recovery. Additionally there have been people that made over mid 600 awhp 's with this turbo so honestly how much more do you need unless you want 800 crank hp + I just made 489 awhp on 93 octane with some alky/water injection at only 25 psi with my .63 off the shelf gt35r and couldn't be happier.
