Just got new plugs: BPR7EIX

Do I need to do anything before I put them in? They should be pregapped, right?

I ordered these specifically for the Evo, so I should just have to put them in???

They should be gapped at .028, which is fine. I like to check them to be sure, just be very careful because its easy to mess up the iridium tip.

Are they pre gapped or not?? That's the question

NGK Iridium EVO Spark Plugs BPR7EIX

Product Description

Why NGK Iridium? More Durability and a Higher Melting Point compared to Platinum, better center electrode anti-oxidation and anti-erosion, improved ignition, superior anti-fouling, lower required voltage, new metal shell plating process for better anti-corrosion. One Step Colder plugs are recommended for car with 400+ hp Evo's

Fits: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII 03-05 GSR, MR, RS

Tech Tip: These plugs DO NOT come pre-gapped. We recommend purchasing the spark plug gapper tool, seen below. These plugs are one stage cooler then the stock EVO Plugs.

i had to get the NGK online only place i could find them anti seize u can get any local auto parts store its a small tear package and it makes it so the threads of things dont seize together so when removing them next time they dont get stuck and Tear ur engine apart... u can also use it on exhaust bolts etc just makes it possible to pull bolts out etc

Why NGK Iridium? More Durability and a Higher Melting Point compared to Platinum, better center electrode anti-oxidation and anti-erosion, improved ignition, superior anti-fouling, lower required voltage, new metal shell plating process for better anti-corrosion. One Step Colder plugs are reccomended for car with 400+ hp cars. The colder plugs have non-projected tips, which lowers ignitability (if you need colder plugs, this shouldn't be an issue for you anyways).

Please Note:Iridium plugs are able to use larger gap setting with less voltage. Some customers choose to regap these plugs to correct misfiring or tune for optimal spark -- do so at your own risk -- slide-type plug gapper will damage the fragile iridium tip. Price is for One Plug Only.
