first gear thunk.

Now, here is a thing I'm having hard time figuring out. I have my guesses, but wanna hear it from someone who's gone through this before.

On the first gear, when you let off the clutch, there is a moderately loud "thug"

I'm thinking it might be the CV joint, because this does happen during slow turns.

But it does it a lot when you just start off the car from a stop. Not launching.

So I'm thinking it might be the front differential or even the front axle or lower arm...

but it's been happening a lot before.

any guesses? the car's bone stock. it does have a 17x9 35mm offset rims on it, but there's no way that could be causing that noise.

thanks.

I have a loud thunk too, only in 1st. I also have grease sprayed everywhere where my driveshaft joins together right behind the cat. I went to the dealer today and they said blown boot. they are overnighting the part and going to fix it under warrantee.
