I am his buddy. Basically, he has a cat-back and does not need a boost controller yet until he gets a downpipe as well. I do suggest a boost gauge however. I had my car tuned with a boost leak and on a very humid day. I should tighten up everything and put it on the dyno again. I am pretty sure I'll make 330 whp

i got my car dynoflashed about a month ago...real simple procedure. You meet up with AL ...he hooks up his gadgets(wideband o2, his data logging program and a data adjusting program) to your car...u sit in the passenger seat of your car for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on how much work is needed on your car and he tunes it...he's very knowledgeable, so if you have any questions he answers them on the spot. Great guy...i had fun. Yes he pushes your car a little but it's no where near what we do to our cars...i highly recommend AL.

What does a DP have to do with a boost controller? The MBC will give great gains over stock, but it's not as important if he has a boost-controlling flash and never intends on raising it.

Btw, you can see below how useful an MBC is with a cat-back...

i am new to Evo's and still tryin to learn them. I know Supra well since im a Supra owner. I've been doing some research and i read that you guys dyno flash your ECU's. Does that mean that the Evo's ECU's are tunable without a piggyback or EMS?

if you have the software, like some of the companies that sponsor these forums do, then yes.
