When looking for a intake manifold arent you suppose to get one that is rounded instead of a rectangular one like the Magnus?

not really... a rounded rectangle has more area per radius than a circle... obviously becuase of the corner areas of the rectangle... think... kicker solo baric subs. since there is no circular restraint on the intake mani the rectangle shape is better for flowing volume, so long as everything inside is smooth etc.

remember that at the end of the tube all the flow gets broken up into two circles (valves) anyway, so preseving a certain air shape is pointless.

yes, you need to relocate the oil dip stick and also need to fabricate a new upper intercooler pipe.

Dave, there's a shop in AZ that's a direct dealer for HKS Kansai. he can get that intake manifold for you. it is not an hks part hence why it is not in their catalog or website.

the hks kansai website is www.kansaiss.co.jp & they already have an evo9 shop car!!

Who makes Buschur's intake on his site? How does it compare to Magnus or BJs?

Any secret in getting the fittings over the steel breaded line beause I have been having a hell of a time trying to them to fit over the hose?!

I can't even imagine doing it as many times as you did.

Typically what upper intercooler piping kit would you suggest for a magnus intake manifold?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

uhm... i would think there's a tool for it... and if there isn't... dammit there should be. but the way i did it was a lotta trying and retrying by using tape to keep the burs from clogging up the worm gear clamp and twisting and shoving (more shoving than twisting... twisting makes the burs come out) and eventually got all the fittings on my lines without a lotta steel poking out and then if you taped it right... with the right kind of no stick tape... you can pull it out (hopefully in one piece so you don't have scraps of masking tape inside your fittings cuz that bugs me).
