Proactively changing fuel pump

How long do you guys think it's safe to trust a Walbro 255 pump to last? Since it could be an utter disaster on our cars if the fuel pump falters, especially when modded running higher boost, it would be a good idea to change it before it goes bad. I know that this is a somewhat common practice with alcohol injection system pumps for the very same reason.

So, maybe every 2 years/20K miles? What do you all think? The pumps don't cost much and aren't hard to change so it seems like cheap insurance.

Thanks

I believe RRE mentioned that the Walbro's are more prone to failure when you're constantly running high boost. They lost a motor due to a failed fuel pump at one of the magazine shootouts last year I believe. I think they were trying to run 28-30 psi of boost.
