As for G20, I dont understand your posts honestly. If you are trying to run 22psi on 91 octane with an AFC chances are it will knock badly. What gaskets are you talking about???? What do you mean by the old plugs were gapped? Dont you gap any plug you put in your car? And I guess to sum it up... Dont buy into ads claiming thier sparkplugs are super duper special.... they spark Buy NGK Plugs... for your app probably BR7ES or BPR7ES would be the best. The BR (No P) should knock a little less but will foul earlier and the BPR plugs would be the opposite. With just an AFC I would only run around 19psi (Thats what I did and it worked out ok for me).

Anyways, good luck with everyhting and if ya need any advice or help Ill help ya out... sorry I am in a bad mood tonight. Maybe a bad batch of beer I dunno
Sorry to not make it clear. It's not knocking at all at 21 psi on 91 and run very smooth. It was pulled timing at 22 but after I did some changes mentioned above, it looks like it's not pulling timing anymore. Anyway, I'm learning this stuff now so I SAFC works best for me.

G20 I would not run 21-22 psi on 91 **** gas if I were you, especially with an S-AFC controlling my shyt.

Trinibabe, get that thing to a dyno and see what it can do perfectly tuned.

that power seems about right for 27 psi. I made the 489 awhp on 93 oct with the injection at 25psi.

I hate dyno numbers because they are so ambiguous but if you must know at 26psi I put down 405whp on a dyno dynamics. I prefer trap speeds to tell you how much power you are making because they are universal and don't vary as much as dynos. I have since upped my boost by about 2 psi. At the previous boost levels I was trapping 2-3mph slower. btw when I plug 123 mph into a hp calculator it says 494 whp

So my trap speed is 117 then how much whp approxiately that I have? I was locked out of 4th gear and waited about 1-2 seconds to able to shift in so I don't know if it was affect the top speed a lot. Pre-thank for reply.

Since you were locked out of 4th you probably lost 3-4mph, but with 117 its 425whp and say you went 120 with a good shift then you would have 459whp. I don't know why everybody is obsessed with hp figures though. Who cares if you car puts down 800whp if you run 12 second passes because you can't get it to the ground.

I just like to see how my car is comparing to others. I trapped at 118 consistantly because I would hit the rev limiter well before the trap. I have now raised it to 8k but still seems to cut out slightly before then. When I go to the track I will try to raise the limiter to a point where I can pass the traps without it bouncing but still not go to 9k. I would assume that the car should have been trapping around 121 or so at 25psi. I am thinking thats about as high as I will trap at this time also because of the gearing. I will try a few passes shifting to 5th and see what the times and speeds do. I am assuming the time will go up but the speed may increase slightly but I dunno. Ill be there on Sunday though to find out.

Also, are you guys spinning the hell outta the tires when you launch them? I think I may be launching at too high an RPM and it just spins em all. I may try to do a small burnout before I line up next time also and see if I can scrub the tires enough to get rid of any pebbles or dirt before i actually launch it. 1.80 60' times arent that bad but I know i could get much lower even with these tires.

8k = 123 traps that is my limiter and I bounce off it too. Tire spin depends on the launch. I try about 6500 sometimes and usually hook decent as long as the track has enough vht. I have also launched at like 7500 rpm and bounce off the rev limiter until I shifted to 2nd.

We need to get longer gears.. I think this winter when I rebuild the motor and head I am going to ship the tranny off again (A story for another day ) but while it is there I may have them throw in the different gear set. I honestly think it will drop the ET by .2 or more with cars putting down as much power as ours.

Thank you for the reply. I'm not into hp that's why I rarely go to dyno session. Just curious to know that's all. I know there're many other factors to get good run, ie. my shifting problem for an example.

Made it out to the track last night with my GT35R setup. Right off the street running 22 psi on 93 octane pump gas I was able to trap 111.69 I then put in some 105 unleaded and started raising the boost. Found out that even with my plugs gapped down to .023 I get ignition issues at 25 psi. My best "clean" run I had a trap speed of 116.79 This is my daily driver, and I spent my cash reserves on the turbo kit so I don't have money to replace the drive train parts if I break them, so I don't launch the car like I used to launch my Galant VR-4... (broke axles etc in that one). My best 60' was slipping the clutch from 6,000 which gave me front end juddering from the open front diff letting me get single wheel spin and wheel hop. With a 2.048 60' (best of the night) I ran 12.613 @ 116.79 at 24.5 psi of boost.

Later,

Keith

PS: All runs were full weight, spare tire, jack, laptop, and my fat A$$ behind the wheel
