Realistic Estimate of HP on 91 octane and stock turbo

I have searched and searched, but I can't seem to find a lot of information about this topic. My Elise might be totaled and I drove an EVO today and loved it. I live in California, and want to know the realistic performance I can get out of the stock turbo with this terrible gasoline.

I want to keep the stock turbo if I do get the EVO, and would prefer a reflash to a standalone, but a piggyback is okay with me if necessary.

Any Dyno graphs or threads anyone knows about would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help guys (and gals)

Here is my Dyno Sheet (Mustang 4wd Dyno) on 91 octane and I think my bov might be leaking a little when hit full boost. Hope that will help you out.

Scot, very impressive #s on 91 octane. I'm curious about how close to the edge you are tuned for. I assume this is not a tune you'd go out open tracking with.

Mix in a little 100 unleaded or turn the boost down to 19psi and it would be fine for open tracking. These tunes are designed for the street or anything that won't have the boost pegged for 20 minutes at a time.

Wow those are really good numbers on that dyno and such few mods, wow the 2005s are really strong. I think if you bought a 2005 EVO you could achieve similiar numbers- TBE, SAFC or Flash or both, Boost Controller, and Cams should be good for 310-330WHP on pump 91 gas for a 2005 EVO. If you went with a 2003 or 2004 EVO the numbers would be alittle lower.

I would say 300 whp is possible with stock turbo and crappy gas. And maybe 330 - 340 with alky.

Thanks guys. Still waiting to hear from the insurnace company. They stilll haven't picked up my rental car, and that is pi$$ing me off. The woman said that she faxed something over etc etc. JUST PICK UP THE PHONE. I mean come on, what is more efficient?

I found a crack in my windshield too when it was being loaded on the flatbed. Add another 1000 or 1250 to fix that. I ned something safer... like a 400 hp EVO.

Your profile says you are in New Mexico. How much does your car make at the wheels with California gas?

SAFC is a piggyback...

not sure about california gas, but new mexico gas is not the best either. also, i live in an area that is 6000ft above sea level. safc is a piggyback, but its main drawback compared to other piggybacks is the fact that it cant adjust timing.

Tom-

I would like some more details on your set-up. I am very impressed with the 'area under the curve' and the linear power delivery. That car must feel like a V8. I just purchased a 2003 Evo and I was looking to get a little quicker spool up and keep the power flowing at high rpms. Your set up is the closest I have seen to that. Many have peaky torque peaks that taper off, yours is flat accross the board.

Any guidance would be appreciated!
