I looked this morning. It is a MD AWD 500 SE. 150 mph max speed, 900 hp capable.

Can't wait to use it.

Yup the manual is kinda crazy, I've paged through it a couple times. If you need weights and HP@50 for the loads I can send you a pdf file if you want.

I believe the software has the weights programmed in it, doesn't it? I think that's what they told me.

Dave the unit comes with an Adobe file with HP@ 50 numbers and wieghts. If you do not have it I will email it to you. Also they only go up to 2002. I have alot of the newer vehicles on disc if you need it including the proper setup for the Evo.
Good luck and let me know if you need anything at all.

You will also have to make sure that every car (that is different) has a new customer base file inputted. AWD mode will need to be selected EVERY time you need to dyno an AWD car.
Check over the Dyno Parameters section also to make sure you have the right inertial and eddy current settings when dynoing.
Just some issues we ran into to try and help..

I wonder why some dyno company can't incorporate a scale of some sort into the rollers to weigh the car once all 4 wheels are up there? Every modded car is going to weigh a little different depending on how crazy one gets with weight removal.

We picked up a set for that reason. I really don't know why myself...

Truly, thanks for the input guys. I'd like for us MD owners to actually come up with a good system between us so we can see some repeatable results from one dyno to another.

The scales are a really good idea. The MD does do a calculation empty to get an accurate pre-vehicle load.

Thanks again,

Do you guys have the alignment and corner weighting setup?

Any ideas on cost for both?

We are going to get scales and camber tools once the building is done and we are up and running on the dyno. The floor in this building was poured perfectly flat to enable us to do alignments.
