I had the rs-r gt2 exhaust with the rs-r downpipe on my car for about 8 months. Then all of a sudden I found out that the pipe was so close to my drive shaft boot that it started to melt it and it ripped so I had to get it fixed. I also had to take the exhaust off. Has this happened to anybody else with the rs-r exhaust? I think it may have been installed incorrectly because I dont think it happened to anybody else. I was thinking of getting it put back on but I think the people who uninstalled it didnt give me all the pieces back since I think I am missing one clamp and then a clamp with a hanger attached to it. Did everybody use both these pieces? Can I install it without them or buy them from somewhere? I'd appreciate any help I can get.

 

I would contact RSR about the issue. The GT2 exhaust I had on my IS300 was absolutely perfect fitment and great quality.

 

I tried contacting them already and they just said that the it shouldnt be near the drive shaft boot. Anybody out there with the rs-r exhaust? I am probably gonna put it back on but did people use the clamp and the clamp with the hanger? and if so where do they go?
