Need Help Please!!!

I just bought an rsr gtii exhasut and am havind trouble installing, as i installed it, i put the black rubber pieces in first, then hooked it up to the cat. everything was fine and in place, until i started tightneing the bolts. then the muffler started going up and hitting the bumper. I have an evo MR is there any difference in driveshafts, because the exhaust is hitting the driveshaft and now my mufler is hiting my bumper, and there is a leakage between my cat and the exahsut. I need help with aybody who has an rsr exhassut or anybody that can help me THANKS!!!

Its not because its an MR the exhausts are the same.

Did you have someone holding it center while you were tightening it up. Sometimes that will help. Also tighten the front brackets first and work your way back. If that doesnt work it sounds lie you got a bad flange. I'd box it up and send it back.

First of all, take your time and relax! Then start over again. Take the exhuast off of the rubber hangers and prop the exhuast pipe with somthing stable. You will then start connecting the nots and bolt of the exhuast. Just loosely tighten the bolts. Once all bolts are lined up, then you can tighten the bolts further. The rubber hangers are the last part. Play with the hangers a little bit after final install and see if that will help.

thats why you should buy AMS or JDM!
Dude it looks like you need to start from scratch!
make sure you put all 3 hangers in place and half tighten them till u get the desired position, then tighten tem fully!
by the way! the next time you buy an item, make sure you ask if it fits the mr also (though almost everything do).
have you called RSR yet?

like people are saying take ur time and fix the leaks and straighten it should come out right if installed right or take it to a shop... UNLESS the exhaust it self is wrong which in that case pull it off and sell it that bumper is gonna last like an hour with it touching like that

good luck

W/O seeing it for myself I really can't help. IT looks like you have something backwards though. Have you installed the hanger that mount behind the right rear wheel? Wish I could help you out. Considering that you live in NorCal there has to be someone that can give you a hand. Search the regional forums for help. Here's a link for the West Region: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/west-region-44/
