quick question and Im too lazy too search - does the helix cat-back taper at all where it meets the cat or is it a full 3" all the way through. anyone who can help it would be much appreciated im ready to order an exhaust today.

Its straight 3".

 

its a true 3". i have it on my 05. no problems whatsoever. great exhaust

 

It might touch your bumper and fuel tank shield.
fix: cut your inner side of bumper and use modified hangers.
