I thought it was discovered some time ago that the 6-Speed actually used two of the larger bushings used on the 5-Speed transmissions meaning the exsisting larger bushing would work just fine, but require an indentical one paired with it instead of a smaller one.

If not, good to see David working on this for the 6-Speed guys.

Hey Dave, i have an 03 evo viii w/ act clutch and i have that notorious act lock out in 4th. It only happens at high rpms shifts and only about 50% of the time. I know i will probly need a new synchro and iam waiting to get my tranny totally rebuilt just to be safe, But i would like to know if these bushings will help me with this problem at all. THX for your time sir

The bushings will probably not fix a 4th gear lock out problem but they do greatly improve the feeling of the shifts. Great mod actually.

Just got the bushings on my car... I, like everyone else had some trouble installing the top one but quickly got the problem fixed and moved on. Once installed I jumped in the car to feel the difference and yes it does feel a little better to me. Shifting is more on point then the old bushings there is a noticible difference.

Good news. We got the 6 speed bushings in. Now we need a 6 speed car to try them on. If anyone is fairly close to use with a 6 speed I will give you a set of the bushings and install them, all for free, if you can contact me and set up a time for us to try them. There is one snag on the 6 speed cars and we have to work it out. Should only take an hour.

What's the snag? Retaining clip on the vertical bushing?

Yes, but once we get the car here it won't be a snag anymore.

great! I was going to make em my self since nobody seemed to be motivated to make them for the MR. if you look closly in hyper rev there are shops in japan that have them for the six speed, however I cant speak or read japanese to get them.

PM me when you get them ready and I will buy a set that day, along with a clutch line

I have done this mod and it is a must, I also recommend a front engine mount bushing to improve shifting, do you have those too Dave?

Even though I have the Kartboy shifter stuff, I would highly recommend these. I used the shifter base bushings, cable bushings and his short shifter and it really improved the fit and feel of the shifting. Even though I have different stuff, I would highly recommend doing this!
