Big Trouble,,,engine died while driving....
CT9A, ensure your battery connection is tight. Take connections off and clean it then tighten it. This has caused many problems to my customers in the past. If everything else checks out good, have the alternator tested.

Here's my thought, tell me if this sounds right. I'm looking into power/grounding issues before the ECU. I figured that since the AFC isn't turning on, in addition to the Service Engine Soon light not coming on (with or without the AFC connected) I'm led to believe that the ECU isn't the problem, or at least not the ONLY problem. It seems to me that the ECU just isn't seeing power as the first problem.
Even if the AFC isn't allowing MAF signal to the ECU, as stated in a previous post, wouldn't the 12v power still come through and at least turn it on? I couldn't see the whole ECU shutting down and not coming back up because of a lack of signal other than 12v power. Right, wrong, maybe???

So car cranks fine but it won't fire? You smell any fuel trying to get there? Sparks?
The power to the ECU should be directly from the battery via fuses. SOme of the modules in the car have their own dedicated fuse. Where did you tap the power to the afc? Trace to see what happen to that power wire. SAme with the ECU if possible. If your car is still under warranty take it to the dealer.

find the power wire that goes to the AFC and see if its getting 12v. Also find the wire going to the computer that is a constant 12v even with the key off. check your wires even if you think they are good. check your AFC ground. do a continuity check and see if it is a complete ground. also be careful when checking stuff. the ECU doesn't like to be spiked with a surge of voltage.
if you make the wiring back to stock and it still doesn't work make sure the computer is getting power from the constant 12v and the ignition 12v and has a good ground. if you have all of this then the ECU might have taken a crap on you. one of your wires make of shorted or something.

You blew a 10 Amp fuse in your fuse box. Same thing happened to me, car just died while driving on the freeway. Would crank but not start. I checked the fuses but missed it the first time. Dealer found the fuse, replaced it and gave me a bunch of extra's, hasn't happened since...HTH

the ECM 20A fuse was blown. I changed it, headed for the parts store for more fuses when it happened again.
So I finally made it to the store, popped one more fuse on the way home. Talked to my Pops, and came up with there is a short somewhere. Like SterlingEvo, I realized when I put on the CAt delete pipe, I saw the O2 wires press against the floor. Payed it no mind til today. So I taped up the wires and insulated them and I have to tighten up my exhaust. But I think problem solved.
Thanx fellas for all of you alls input
