Rattling under car?

Today I noticed a rattling noise under my car. It happens only at around 1000-1200 rpm's, but it's fairly loud and very annoying. I think it may be the cat, however I have had it on for a few weeks now with no problems. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I have a rattle also..Im going to try the Kartboy Exhaust Hangers. They are much stiffer and hold the exhaust in place alot better.

No I dont. My car is going into AMS on Wednesday, they're the ones who installed the exhaust (hell, it's their exhaust) so im hoping that they will be able to fix it. I love their customer service there, they will do just about anything for their customers.

yea I noticed a rattle today when I shut my door. I realized there is a lil metal flap that hangs down near the middle of the car. It flaps against my exhaust pipe. I guess it was conformed to fit to the factory exhaust pipe. Ahh well no big worry just annoying when I close and shut the door.

I'm having a similar issue. I recently installed a Helix hi flow cat(last night) and have noticed a horrific rattle under 1000 rpm when idling. I've had a catback and dp on there for over a year and had no rattling but, as soon as I bolted this piece it rattles so bad I thought the bolts fell out and my cat back was dragging the ground. Any ideas? I'm thinking it is a piece of heatshielding rubbing on something but, I'm not sure.

I took my car to AMS because of it (i got their exhaust) and they said that something broke inside the cat, so they replaced it for me for free.

I think I've got it fixed. The flanges on the Helix Cat for whatever reason are close to a half an inch bigger overall than the flanges on the my HKS DP, Kansai catback, and the factory cat. When I installed the cat I set everything as centered as I could. Apparently that lets the heatshielding in the drive shaft tunnel vibrate and hit the flanges just enough to make an incredibly annoying and loud rattle.

I loosened the bolts and pulled the cat away from the heatshielding as much as I could and this seems to have fixed it. My DP is only 65mm so I've got a little room for misalignment without blocking off any flow. I think I may still bring home my tin snips from and do a little trimming to make sure there will not be anymore rattling.
