I've been digging in the EVO manual, some fun stuff. Here are a few things:

Description of the intercooler's water spray system
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...rsprayinfo.htm

Description of the variable fuel pressure obtained from jumping up the voltage to the fuel pump under higher engine loads
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...elpumpinfo.htm

ECU wiring diagram pinouts.
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...-ecuwiring.htm

The ECU uses the same plugs as the 2G Eclipse turbo. There are some differences. Hooking up an AFC will be the same as a 2G Eclipse. Some things I need to research a little more (A/C control and the water spray conections). The main differences that stand out are:

ECU monitoring of fuel temp and fuel levels. WTF?

Much more A/C system inputs/outputs

The fuel pump relay wire has moved from #8 to #22

An additional sensor ground (2 total now)

The interface with the Imobilizer ECU (anti theft thingy built into the ignition key)

AEM should have no problem coming out with the EMS for this car relatively quickly, but they will have to make a specific adapter board for it with the way some things have moved around on the plugs.

I am flying to Washington this weekend for a rally, I'll keep digging and updating as I have time.

Thanks for posting this stuff! Interesting!

So can you tell if the ECU plugs are also the same they were in the previous EVO VII?
