Hello all. I have a new 05 EVO 8 and just broke 750 miles.

Last night I installed a set of High Output 8K HID's

Today I installed a 3" stainless Test-pipe with a 3" JIC Spartan Catback exhaust.

overall I didn't have much room working under the car so i got the black underbody tar all over myself

I managed to get the bolts loosened with hand tools and Installed everything up.

when i was done I was sooooooo surprised as to how quiet this exhaust system is.

Anyhow, it is a system that is quiet and makes power!!!

Later tonight i went to NJ to hang out with this girl. On the way there I was loving how hard the car pulled on the highway and also just around town, and at the same time staying quiet...

Overall, I'm done with loud annoying exhausts.... This time around with my EVO 8 I wanted something quiet and makes power and I got it.


Just looking at the system I dont reall think there is any restriction at all.....
the piping is 3" stainless thruout and goes into an oval shaped muffler with 4"-4.5" rolled tips.

Overall from the rear the exhaust looks stock.

The power was amazing, and I know that the OEM cat is a big restriction.

My next mod will be to get a DP, 272/272 cams, camgears, tuning, FP, AEM EMS, alky injection. If I am shocked at the power now just from an exhaust/testpipe imagine how I'll look when all the other power adders go in...

awesome!!!! you've inspired me to upgrade my car everytime i go out on a date... shoot, that'll mean everyother night! sheesh! j/k i really wanted a nice combo that'll net good power with minimal noise; thanks for answering my question.
