Question Synchro problem or not ???

I have a hard time shifting at high rpm. Under normal shifting it will go fine. ONe thing that I notice is that at idle while I press on the clutch and shift through the gears the shifter gets stuck. There are times when it gets stuck from 1st to second and second to third. I'm not sure how to explain it just gets stuck like the synchros are not align.

Anyone else experience this before? Is it the synchros going out? Car is BR S4 with ACT clutch. I tried adjusting the rod but no help. Recently change out the tranny fluid (Penn Synchromesh) with new Penn syncomesh fluid and still no help.

Thanks.

Sounds like a clutch issue, the pressure plate not disengaging enough.

So is this a clutch issue and not an install issue? Any quick fix?

Unfortunately no, I have the same issue. Adjusting the clutch and bleeding the fluid will definitely help. But under the circumstances, its a tough one. If it was installed incorrectly or the throwout bearing is problematic, then its something you'll have to live with.

I have a Cusco two disk , and Ive got to baby the tranny, REV match on up/down shifts and basically accept the fact its a pain in the A$$.

I'm on the stock clutch with about 5000 miles (very very few launches) and I can't do a 1-2 shift fast at all above 7000 rpm. If I try it the car will be locked out of 2nd. I want to get my car to the strip at some point, but not until I can shift it quickly. I haven't change the fluid or adjusted anything, so I plan to try that. I'm also thinking of pulling the restrictor.

Can someone tell me what the white piece on the shifter link is? It could be this thing getting stuck and preventing me from shifting but not sure?

I adjusted the cluth already but no help. There's little thread left on the top. Anyone know if this is too much or do I need to adjust it some more? Again this is an ACT clutch.

Thanks.

I need opinions. Should or can I adjust it anymore? Should I try adjusting down vs up?

Thanks.

Can you specify what the brand name is? I like pennzoil and it was not doing it with stock clutch but willing to try another brand if it'll help.
