1) Why would I be on crack? You dyno'd on 93; he dyno'd on 91. That makes quite a difference...anywhere from 10-20whp, because you get more knock at the same boost and tuning level, which means you have to be more conservative with boot and afr/timing.

2) Yeah, I've heard the heat argument. You assume it doesn't get hot and humid up here. Let's compare: Tomorrow, you will have a high of 90 with a max humidity of 68%. Here, we will have a high of 82 with the same max humidity. Yesterday, you had a high of 91; we had a high of _95_! Is it hotter in Atlanta on average? Yes, I know, because I GRADUATED HS at Chattahooche and went to GaTech, but is it so significant that I wouldn't be able to duplicate my times? No. My 12.2s were done in 80 degree weather with 60% humidity, not much better than what you'll experience in the worst part of July.

3) There are 2 timeslips in my sig; sorry I don't have videos yet. I'll make sure people tape me at the Evo Vs WRX shootout for proof. Or, if GsuJeff comes, he can tell you firsthand.

4) Uh, my sig says 99oct...I've said the whole time that I got those ets/mphs on a mix of 104/93 unleaded. It's not big time race gas, but it let me raise boost and lean out some more. I will be tossing on a 3" dp/tp for the Shootout, which means I'll be able to run C16 like you mentioned later in this post, but that's to break into the 11s on stock cams, not to duplicate my 12.2s. On straight 93 pump, I ran a 12.64 at 106 on the stock clutch and had a best of 107.xx.

5) So what, since I am a good drag racer, it means I don't auto-x, too? In fact, I auto-x FAR MORE than I drag race. I go to the drag strip to get real world proof of what my dynochart is telling me and to make sure my mods have been useful. I take that knowledge and then go kick *** in autocrosses. I took first place in my last auto-x, and now I have a 2-day SCCA Divisional this weekend. Who said I live my life a 1/4-mile at a time? It seems you rely on a dyno reading to tell if you if your car is fast instead of proving it on the track.

6) I would love to see you beat me with c16 and self-tuning on the same track or ANY track. Of course, c16 is far better than 104 unleaded, and I still have the stock cat/dp, but if you think you can run 12.1, please be my guest! I'd love to see you do it...
The only reason why you came in first place was because I was'nt there!! J/K Yeah, so your fast............

Az Evo 8

First thing Dyno Comp uses a Dynamics Dyno.
I just got my car tuned by Rich with Ecutek APS 3.5 TBE BOV and a K&N drop in with a APS front mount. Car made 280 whp and 283 tq on 91 pump, you still have a cat but I think you could do beter considering Rich tunes on the conservative side.

note to mods: warn ez76, he's dillusional, thinks he's in control or something.

i made a valid point and had a discussion, all ex76 said was off-topic, delete his post.

and yes, it's on dyno dynamics. and yes with those mods, numbers are low.

stock evo's get 230, 240 on dyno dynamics.

Sure, don't forget to put on your stock DP, stock cat, and flash back to stock if you want to make it even. Also, I don't have 2 different maps. I have an older SAFC I that I tune myself at the track. You can't take a dyno tune and expect it to be the same at the track.

I now understand why you think 6800rpm is the optimum shift point...

?? DD's read as low as Mustangs in some cases. 240 stock? wtf, only 05s do that and only on Dynojets...

A stock 05 evo will make about 210-215 on our DD dyno. A bone stock 03 or 04 will make around 200 to 205.

and back to the thread....

You know you're right, I was off-topic, but misinformation and calling people "loser" damages this board more than off-topic posts.

ANYWAY - bottom line, without knowing how other cars measure on a given dyno you just can't make a solid conclusion - period. There is a huge range in stock dyno numbers, from 200whp (typical Evo on a typical DD dyno) all the way up to 254hp (Evo with rear drivetrain disconnected on a 2WD Dynojet on a cool day in Ohio).

the dyno i used to go to was a mustang dyno that read between 195-205 on stock 03's. i've heard that dyno dynamics were about the same.

ok, give me some dyno charts with afr that shows those numbers on dynojet.

i'll show you otherwise.

And yes, I've organized dyno days and saw about 100 different dyno numbers from different Evos with different mods over a year period.

from mostly dynojet research, and few from dyno dynamics.

I've personally dynoed at 235whp on dynojet, stock.

and if you want to put me down, that's fine too. internet fighting, it means nothing to me.

and wartton, i'm not going to get rid of my mods just for that. why don't you get the same mods that I have and show me how you do it.

come down here, we'll run at commerce. and if you really want, i'll put back my stock exhaust system.

and the loser remark? I wont take it back, because... really I just don't like your snooty attitude. That and the way you strut yourself around mentioning on every forum about your 1/4 mile time that noone has witnesses before.

If you were a bit more sincere, I would be very impressed with your time.

Thank you for all the inputs, and correcting dyno comp uses dyno dynamic. The hp seems low, but the gain is great considering he didn't add anything.

Last I checked, DynoComp has a Dyno Dynamics AWD dyno.

I'm sorry, but that's not true.

On Shiv's DD, stock '05 Evos put down around 200 to 210. '03 and '04s were putting down 190 to 200 IIRC.

230 to 240 even seems high for a Dynojet stock. Unless we're talking about a nice cool 37 degree March day in Connecticut...Ok, sorry. Just kidding Al
