Clutch, BOV, And Exhaust ??????
Clutch, BOV, And Exhaust ??????
Ok i have decided to go with the 3" HKS Hi-Power Cataback and a perrin downpipe is this a good choice? Also do bov's create problems in evo's like stalling, high idle etc. or can u use a bov. I know it doesnt do much except the sound, but i was looking into buying a hks bov? Is this a good choice? And does anyone know how much it might cost to have a performance clutch installed in a 2003 Evo 8? thanks!!!
Good Choice on the mods. reason being is you will be a little bit throatier than stock but not as much as some of the other fart cans around ..
.. as for the clutch install, it all depends on your region, where you live... for example some shops can charge 500 bucks and do a lousy job and some might charge 800 bucks and do an amazing job.. or vise versa.. so if you are a good consumer shop around not only for a good bargain but the reputation of said shop...
Good Luck!!
Ps: As far as going HKS on a bov, remember that VTA(Vent To Atmosphere) vs a Recirculatory (like the stock valve) sometimes has stalling issues.. I have found out by doing searches that some cars do some don't have these issues.. Also some have said that
sometimes it is atributed to an aftermarket Intake..
