greddy turbo timer question..

just got an evo the other day... today while cleaning it i looked in the little drawer thing underr the steering hweel and found a greddy turbo timer.. hit the power it didnt turn on...
looked and saw that the ground was disconnected... grounded it .. and it worked... the only thing is that if i leave my lights on and take my keys out the lights stay on... (when the turbo timer is on) then after it counts down and the engine shuts down the lights still stay out (the hids.. ) even when the car is locked... then when i open the door they shut off... (The lightsd...) how can i fix this so that when i take the keys out and the timer counts down adter its done counting the lights shut off along with the negine.. thanks..

Turn your lights off before you get out of your car.

ive got the same turbo timer, and i dont know how to make the lights turn off with the timer... you just have to remember to do it yourself, however, if you forget, the lights will remain on after the engine shuts off, for maybe 5 minutes, and will automatically shut off by themselves.
