Question about install of Buschur 3" TBE

My buddy and I just installed the exhaust and i'm wondering how far the pipe goes onto the hf cat. As it is right now my muffler tip sticks out past the bumper by about 3/4 inch. should it be flush? or am i ok? also the hanger furthest forward (toward front of car) on the muffler is on the rear end side of the rubber hanger.. i noticed in a how to article that the straight "arm type" hanger from the magnaflow muffler is on the front side.. just curious.. i want this exhaust to be on exactly how it's designed.

These generally stick out from the bumper a bit. If you want it flush, you can trim the pipe. Here's the best side pic I have:

Is this the hanger you're talking about?

yep.. but in the how to i saw ( http://www.jonesland.com/evo/Buschur_Install.htm ) it has the arm.. on the front side of the rubber part. this is one other reason i'm wondering if i'm installed right.. i did go for a ride and no CEL's came on.... oh and btw.. the car pulls like crazy now.. i love it..

p.s. mine is installed exactly how yours is.. the skinny bar is on the rear side of that rubber part.. which makes me think it could go on further..( according to the pic in the above "how-to")

Hey SterlingEvo, how do you like driving the EVO in the winter time with the snow tires you have on there? If you don't mind me asking what kind/size are they?

Yeah, I never did a baseline pull but at the dyno I put down 25whp more than a stocker when I had ONLY the Buschur TBE. It's awesome. It sounds like you've got it on right. Have fun

They were Michelin Pilot stock size (235/45/17) They were good tires, but they were all season and weren't the best in the snow. In VA we get only maybe 1 or 2 big snows a year, so I didn't go full-on snow tires, but a lot of guys in my area did and they were great in the snow, but sucky in "normal" driving. If you're in a snowy area, good snow tires make all the difference.

1 important thing: Don't try snow on stock Advans... they simply don't work I love the snow, though. You can practice drifting without losing rubber

Also, I ran 12.8's on those all-season tires in Nov with Exhaust, Flash and Boost control, and cut 1.75 60's. They are good all around.

Sorry kevin for the Off-Topic
