ic pipes

recently one of my intercooler hoses popped off while driving (scared the sh** out of me). afterwards, i would here a big "swoosh" noise everytime the turbo would begin to engage. well, i fixed the prob but i have a question.. i had to drive my car around like that for a couple days before getting the chance to fix it. since there is a leak in the intake, which was passed the air filtering, could i have got a lot of dirt and debris inside my motor?

also, since that event i was thinking about upgrading to some aftermarket ic pipes. would these pipes alone be beneficial in terms of power increase to a mostly stock evo?

thanks

Upper IC pipes decrease performances if not done right
Lower IC pipes help spool up

I recommend Greddy upper IC pipe it fits like gloves
