I got box that is not labeled. Is there anyway I can be sure that it's a 272 or 264 other than going on the retailer's word?

 

mine had it on the cam ends.

 

I've got nothing on mine, besides a 2 cast next to one of the journals. I know it's an exhaust cam, but have no clue as to the duration

I guess I'll be able to tell by the lope

 

yea that's odd. mine had it both on the box and on the cam.

 

I'll make a little list

264 intake Version 2
264 Exhaust Version 1
272 Intake Version 1
272 exhaust Version 2

 

When i got my GSC cams from lancershop.com, the exhaust cam was in the intake cam box and vice versa. There is no inscription on the cams (they were the 1st version, all black ones).
Comparing to my buddy's 272i/272e, my 272i/264e lopes way more.........till this day, I'm still not exactly what those 2 cams under the cam cover are!

 

the list is fine and all but w/o appropriate markings, how is one supposed to distinguish if it's a 264 or 272? Version 1 and 2 are readily identifiable as are intake and exhaust cams...it's the duration that is still up in the air.

That's fine and dandy but not for something I'm spending 500 bucks for.
