I use the same thing because my autometer gauge is a little off. I keep the blitz digital gauge at 1.48 which is right around 21.5 psi

how many turns did it take for everyone to get to 21.5 psi with their hallman? mines only boosting 20 psi and its 3/4 of a turn away from being maxed out.. im running it from the turbo nipple and the wastegate. whats wrong with it?

Do you have the heavy spring in it? All hallman MBC's will boost the exact same when turned to a particular level with respect to boost source. In other words, after 5 turns of the hallman, my car will boost to the exact same level as yours. When Al was street tuning my car, he knew exactly where to put it without even checking it. He did the same on several other cars. It was pretty amazing to me. Al also doesn't recommend the RX as he says the ceramic ball in it isn't as good as the steel ball in the standard Hallman. I personally think the ceramic ball is better, as there really isn't any concrete proof as to the big difference in the two.

I would think, if for no other reason, the steel is more durable than the ceramic. the ceramic could shatter. 1 in a hundred thousand chance maybe, but?

alright thanks for the info!

20.5 psi is just about 1.41 bar right?
one of your first mods should be a boost gauge, not an mbc
u need to be able to read boost accurately. a turbo timer isnt going to cut.
gl in not messing up your engine.

actually the boost gauge in the blitz turbo timer is pretty accurate. when I was getting tuned by Turbo trix we tested both my blitz tt and my autometer boost gauge because they were about 1.5 psi difference. found out my tt was dead on and my autometer was reading high.

true the boost gauge in the blitz turbo timer is accurate as I had one in my eclipse with an autometer boost gauge, but its just nice not to have to convert over from hkpa to psi...either way, some sort of a gauge is alot better than none...

i dont think that autometer boost guages are very accurate after a while. swap ur boost guages around with ur friends and notice the differences.

i prefer the quicker reading from a gauge, than from the lagging electronic signal.
autometer is a gauge that is known to have problems
buying a quality boost gauge (defi), and that would solve your high reading problem.
