every car is different, start with minimum and bring it up from there. Go higher gear if you have road for it.

Like the previous person said, you should start it off on the lowest setting and run the car a couple of runs to warm it up. Start slowly increasing boost, I normally set mine in 3rd gear, but from what I've seen 20.5 psi in 3rd gear is going to push about 22 in 4th gear and even higher in 5th gear.

You can keep the car from doing this if you don't go from say 3krpm in 4th to WOT, it causes pretty severe spiking.

Get the car up to about 3500-4000rpm in 3rd and then floor it to see where you're at imo.

Put the MBC between the BOV and the wastegate instead of the turbo nipple/wastegate to get better response and less spiking.

yep. that is what you do. gun it in 3rd, watch boost gauge, pull over adjust, rinse, repeat as needed. find where you like in 3rd, proceed to 4thand 5th -- it should boost close to the same

another thing, try not to use the old tubing.....cant remember which one has "boost pill" in them. Use new tubing or if you have to recycle, check that there is no pill in them.

or you can purchase the adapter piece that allows you to control the boost from inside your car

^ He means don't re-use the stock lines or anything because there is a stock soleniod in one of them which causes the boost to taper from 19PSI on stock cars. I'd go from 3rd gear and see what happens, just run the car with the lowest setting pull over and adjust, keep going untill you've reached your desired level of boost Have fun.

no. however, if your hallman is all the way off, you will only boost around 11psi, and it takes a couple complete turns before boost will go up. be patient and come to the understanding that you are going to pull over a bunch of times to get boost set where you want it. good news, once it is set you really don't have to touch it again.
