Wow, great results for a flashed car!

I think the more cars that are out there with the WR/SR55/20G, the more we're going to see that they're 3 different ways of doing similar things with slight twists. What I like most about the WR isn't necessarily the extra power (although that helps), but the light rotating assembly makes part throttle and off boost response so linear that you sometimes forget you're driving a turbo car.

Daves car also has a built head and lots of supporting mods that I do not think are mentioned on the WR. Nice numbers on both.

Thats why I put in my test settings. The MD is very easy to manipulate numbers, you can turn the load to 0 and have a 450whp car that really only makes 300whp, or you can crank up the test weight. Someone should set a MD standard in testing so everything isn't thrown out of whack. Now granted that there are elevation and temperature differences but that can also be set also. What shops on here actually use the MD? So far it seems to be Buschur, pwerks, any others.

The results are officially NOT in. In the fast spooling middle wieght class we have the following contenders:

TME 10.5 (we all know and love)
Evo400 (BB CHRA+TME, baller$$$,wicked spool)
FP WR (TME+ revised 5 blade compressor wheel)
BR 20g ("20g compressor wheel [ti or steel turbine???])
Robertinaustin SS51 proto ( TME+bigger compressor wheel ???)
GT3071 (The smallest "modern" turbo some are willing to use)

I'm sure 6mo. to a year from now we'll all have our favorites. For now, It's awsome to have so many options, but there is just not enough data yet.

Could turn out the bigger compressor wheel idea is a bust and it's TME or 3071... or the bigger wheel could the answer and put up close to 3071 power with TME like spool!

I won't be convinced either way until I see results from a bunch of different tuners and set-ups.

I don't think the WR has a bigger compressor wheel...I think it's a revised compressor wheel. It only has 5 blades and flows more at high RPMs.

The EVO FQ400 is not a ball bearing center section TME turbo, it is a fairly large garett turbo. Slow as hell spool.

You CAN get a ball bearing center section put into the TME, I believe from essex turbos in England.

He was talking about the Evo400 turbo (aka the Dentist) not the FQ 400.

^^ Thanks. Or Essex Turbo... Evo400 is a member on this board that makes them. Heard a rumor on one of these threads a while back that a US vendor might make a BB center TME under some kind of liscense deal.

I would also be intrested in a Ball Bearing upgrade. I attached the pricing sheet from Essex Turbos. They make a nice product, but a little on the spendy side. It would be cheaper to send them your turbo to be upgraded. All prices are in I believe pounds. For a new unit they are asking around $2600-$2900 us dollars. I am still debating on which turbo to go with. The Essex turbo upgrade is pretty bad a**.

I'd love to see a WR with an Essex BB center! Don't know if it's possible though considering the WR uses a different shaft. Maybe we could get FP to make a BB WR.....a rabbit on rollerskates as it were
