Alcohol tuning question....

I've been using the 2nd generation SMC alcohol kit from Buscher Racing with a 50-50 mix of methanol and distilled water. If I was to go to straight methanol, would it make a large impact on my tune? Obviously I would be running a bit richer and would have to remove some fuel when the alcohol kicks in but would it make very much difference in my timing settings?

If anyone has tuned both ways, I would sure like some input.

Thanks,

Tony

You could run slightly more timing and boost - or leave them the same and have an additional margin of saftey

question for you Al.

When spraying the alky/meth, do you tune for a 11/1 ratio? Kind of hard question to explain.

Say you have a 11/1 a/f ratio before you spray alky. you start sprayin, obviously the a/f ratio drops, so you have to pull some fuel out. Do you need to shoot for the same 11/1 a/f ratio while spraying alky? as in, pull enough fuel that it shows the same ratio as the alky takes place of some fuel?

Damn, that sounds confusing. Hard for me to ask.
