Sludge Master - Why Proper Breakin is Important

Right now as I write this, I am changing out my drivetrain fluids.

Here is a picture after just 1450 miles.

I thought redline MTL was not recommended for our trannies? Are you blending it with MT90?

Eep. I'm planning on changing mine out in a couple of weekends. I have 15k miles, but did a good, thorough break-in.

Diaqueen for the TC and Syncromesh for the Tranny. I'll let you know how it goes, hopefully I won't have that sludge.

its not sludge, its metal shavings from the diffs breaking in and shaving off any excess metal from the gears. It will go away after time. But yes, it is best to change the fluids after break-in. I highly recommend the DiaQueen for the transfer case and the rear diff, and BG syncroshift for the Trans.
