ideas on rod & piston combo!

in the market for some rods and pistons and was wondering what works for high hp apps? I hear that venolia and ross make great pistons for the evo, but are there any others? I'm also leaning towards some pauter rods, but i hear oliver, crower, and groden(aluminum) are great also. Let me know if you have had any good or bad experiences with the above. thanks, nick.

Any aftermarket combo will be good and much stronger than stock. Ross, Weisco, JE, Venoila, etc are all good. Eagle, Crower and Patuer rods are all proven.

However, Groden aluminum rods are strictly race. They are not for street driven cars. Only cars going down the 1/4!

first question before you pick internals is picming who will do the install/buildup. I find machinists REALLY particular over what brand they use...stick to what your intended builder likes.

Also depends on your budget.....you can spend $400 or $1400 on rods alone (and still not even get titanium)
