Question Leak chasing

I have a stock 03 with 34k. I have been suspicious of a boost leak for a good while. Trips to the dealer have brought about questions of a BOV leak, they (literally) look at it and tell me it's fine. I can often her BOV "whooshing" noises under boost. I have chased a few V-8's on the road (Mustang, Z## pickups) and have had problems. It feels like it's missing something when I put the hammer down. It seems to be struggling to make boost. It can get to 17-18-19 lbs. If I flog it, and it seems to take time to do so; lots of lag.

What's the best method to go leak hunting with a pressure test?

#2, how do I convince the dealer If I do find a leak, that it exists without telling them "I just took apart the intake to do a boost test"?

My W is running out, and this is really bugging me, I should be getting more.

Thanks for any help.
