i need to buy an adapter to use both senders..i dont think an inch of heat travel will..have a dramatic difference in reading temperature..
so either way i have to drain the coolant first??

The tee wont affect overall accuracy but it will affect the amount of time it will take for the gauge to read an accurate temperature. Also, I would strongly advise that you screw with the temperature sending unit for the gauge and not the one the ECU uses. Screwing with the sending unit that the ECU uses will definately affect the performance of your car.

You don't need to drain the entire cooling system. You can pull the lower radiator hose off and drain enough coolant to lower the level to the point that you won't be leaking (as much) coolant all over the place.

The radiator hose adapter is definitely less work. Just cut the hose, and clamp the sensor on!

Man, have you ever drained and refilled coolant before? After you put the hose back on, you refill the radiator with water/coolant til it's topped off. You then turn on the engine, let it warm up until the coolant starts to circulate (thermostat opens). When the water's circulating, top it off, and put the cap back on and you're done.

if u just drain the top part of the hose u dont have to drain the whole thing.
plus i just had my coolant flushed at the dealer....so i dont wanna drain again...
my friend told me theres a machin that will get rid of the air bubble..
