what turbo would be best for the 500whp range on pump gas and alky. the gt35 seems like what alot of people are using but is there a smaller turbo out there that will still be able to make 500+whp and not spool so bad. a turbo that maxes out at a little more than 500 so spool would be more matched, compared to using a turbo thats maxes out a 650whp and your only using it at 500. or will you not be able to get a smaller turbo to make that much hp on pump and alky. evodave is making that and more with the gt35 but i was looking for a similar setup with a smaller turbo and less spool time and a little less hp is i have to sacrafice some.

 

you do of course relize this is a 4 cylinder car.. you want power like that you are going to have to sacrifice somewhere.. lag, reliability, and so on.. but go to ams or go to slickmotorsports, who did daves car.. both are great companys to help you..

turbotrix turbo kit. it's a 50 trim. with pump and methanol it will make 500 at the wheels and spools better than a gt35r

 

whats the turbo on that turbotrix kit? is the turbo on the greddy kit looks bigger than a gt35r. how much less lag you think the turbotrix kit will have over a gt35r kit, id definatly sacrafice 50hp to get the turbo to spool around a 1000rpm sooner.

 

The Turbo Trix kit is a very good kit, and I believe it spools pretty quick for a turbo upgrade, I'm surprised that more EVO owners don't have this kit. The Turbo Trix kit utilizes an innovative turbo (50 Trim). TampaTurbo made 454WHP and 401WTQ on a low reading mustang dyno on pump gas and methanol (28PSI). On a dynojet, his numbers would have easily been around or over 500WHP. I'm not a 100% sure on the spool, but I've heard that it spools better than the GT35R.
