my EVO had to make 2 highway trips before it got to me, and I'm certain the gentle driving is the reason it feels slow as *****...then again, the EVO is pretty slow stock so it could just be that....

Keep it under 4k but make sure your easy on the clutch for atleast 500 miles. Also you can find some good suggestions on how to launch the car properly etc all over the forum... I know you be tempted to try hehe. Just make sure you try when you break it in!!!
