running rich

Ok I know that the best solution to my problem would be to put my car on a dyno and have it tuned but Mississippi just doesn't have AWD dynos and tuners all over the place. Anyway my question is my car is running rich when I hit around 4000rpm to redline. I know this b/c my air fuel guage is telling me this. I am currently running stock boost. If I wanted to lean my car out a bit on the top end would the best thing be to buy a MBC and raise my boost to maybe 21-22lbs of boost. or is a reflash the best option for me. I am running 600cc AMS injectors and I also am running an Apex ****-II. other mods include cold air intake, AMS intercooler, cat delete. these mods were already on the car when I bought it. in the next month I am planning on installing cams. anyway any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You are probably losing a pound of boost just because of the bigger intercooler on the stock turbo. I say make the trip for tuning. Get cams and a boost controller and get it tuned, you will be a happy man after that.

I lost one pound when I uprgraded to the Perrin intercooler on stock turbo. Poor lil evo.

Turning up the boost will not lean out the AFR, unless you are out pacing your fuel system. On a stock pump on stock wiring and over 20 psi this is likely the case anyway. But, I feel it's important to mention that aside from that, raising boost won't lean out the AFR. The ECU will see any added airflow and add fuel proportionately. And if you move up to the next airflow/rev breakout it will actually richen the AFR.

get a real wideband o2 sensor with gauge and start leaning out ur AFR's with ur AFC. You didnt get your SAFC to sit there and look pretty.
