264/272/280 Cams which one should I use

Im new to the EVO scene.I just got rid of a turbo Saleen for it.

Im thinking about doing a cam install and was wondering which cams should I go with.
My mods are Bushur intake,Bushur exhaust complete downpipe to muffler.Dynoflash and a MBC.
It dynoed 303awhp and 301awtq.
I was thinking of the 272.
But I also want it to still drive good for a daily driver.

Go big or go home. The 280s are very nice cams with very little streetability problems. Just turn the idle up a little bit and you are golden. They make very nice numbers too.

280's because they are the highest number and obviously the best.

kidding, this is discussed at least twice a day.

Whichever you choose, go with a good set of cam gears.

To actually be helpful... I've seen the majority of people on here using either 264's or 272's for the street and 280's for drag and race applications. the main difference between the 264 and 272 is the duration of the power band, 272's being a little later in the RPM's due to the higher number.

My goals are to run the car everyday without having to pop the hood for something going wrong. And also to hit mid teens in the 1/4.I do not race it at the track but every so often.

280's are usually for guys with turbo upgrades because the power band and torque range exceeds the stock turbo or out lasts it a little bit

Doesn't staggering them help out the duration the power band though? Like 264/272

I like my 272/272 setup. If you want them to idle like stock, get cam gears.

Thats what cam gears are for. The +2/0 setting will move the powerband down. Most people with 280s reccomend them for street use. My 280s are waiting to go in as we speak, with Fidanza gears!
