High Flow Cat and Downpipe...

Im looking to purcase a HFC and downpipe from the same manufacturer, Ive been reading up on the Works, and the Ultimate Racing.
Works says: "We tested multiple substrates on multiple EVOs for thousands of miles to ensure compliance which would prevent triggering the CEL."
Are they (WORKS) the only one who makes a HFC that doesnt trigger a CEL?
Any other manufacturers out there that I dont know about (that can say the same) ?? thanks

I just bought a Helix HFC and Downpipe, from what I read from the vendors sites is that the Helix HFC shouldnt cause the CEL and can pass that CARB law in Cali, but I'm from MA I'm thinkin I should pass here also.

I've never heard of a Works HFC throwing a CEL and they also pass the Cali CARB test.

Hi,

RT HF cat, with Helix DP and Helix CB with silencer... I did get an inspection sticker here in MA, but no smog. He did comment the noise level was borderline.

I do get the p0420 inefficient cat cel from time to time, but since installing a single spark plug anti fouler it's been better. I am currently running stock exhaust, selling my Helix for dirt cheap.

Good luck,

FB

Thanks for all the input...it looks like the Works high flow cat and Downpipe is the best choice so far!

Why do you say that? Maybe some of us want a street legal car that doesn't polute the air. I actually think of a test pipe as cheating, kind of like using nitrous. I actually like drum brakes. I had rear drums on my 69 Chevelle and the wheels never had any brake dust on them.

Where can I find more information about Works HFC?

What is the diameter? Does it fit with the stock downpipe?
